BLOOD DRIVES
The Roseville VFW, along with our sister Post, the Rosetown American Legion, hosts three Blood Drives each year with the Red Cross:
Presidents Day - at the VFW, 11am-5pm
Juneteenth - at the American Legion, 11am-5pm
Columbus (Indigenous Peoples) Day - at the VFW, 11am - 5pm
Each of these blood drives will have posters and flyers for their individual drives, but you can always sign up by going to redcrossblood.org and entering 'VFW 7555' and it will bring up the latest drive.
DONATIONS
Each year our VFW receives many well-meaning donations of wheelchairs, walkers, and other devices from many people with the best of intentions. We do not have the facilities to maintain these donations, access to a database of needy recipients, nor any way to get them to needy Veterans. We just end up spending our Veteran resources bringing them to other sites who can better utilize them, if they are servicable, or disposing of them, if they are not. We strongly recommend giving them to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Courage Kenny Institute, Gillette Children's Hospital, the Salvation Army, and other organizations like these.
