HONOR GUARD
Per the 1999 National Defense Authorization Act, ALL Veterans are authorized a military honor guard at their interment, if the family desires. The Roseville VFW takes this very seriously and has formed a Combined Volunteer Veteran Color/Honor Guard with the Rosetown Legion that should be able to honor all requests. Call the Color Guard Commander, Sean Gustafson at 612-751-9918 24 hours per day (leave message after hours) or email sean.gustafson@gmail.com with your requirements. We typically need the Veteran's name, Service (Army, Navy etc), locations and times Honor Guard is needed, who to coordinate with, and what the family would like (we can provide a rifle salute, bugle salute, flag-folding and presentation, among other services). There are no charges for these services. We are all Veterans. We provide this for VFW and American Legion Auxiliary members, also. We may provide Honor Guards for prominent Community Members, as we are able. Donations of any amount are graciously accepted and utilized for other bereaved Veteran families who may be facing harder times financially, or non-reimbursed costs of operating the Honor Guard.
COLOR GUARD
Our Combined Color Guard makes a strong attempt to support the greater Roseville community and tries to provide Color Guards for the National Anthem for at least one home Varsity game (when possible) for each sport at the Roseville Area High School. We are out in force in the Community during Veterans Day and Memorial Day each year and are always available to support your event (within reason) if it supports our shared values. If you would like our Color Guard to be at your event, please contact the Color Guard Commander, Sean Gustafson at 612-751-9918 or email at sean.gustafson@gmail.com, or contact the Post at rosevillevfw7555@gmail.com. We do not charge for appearing.
